Bats
are pregnant for 3 months. They usually have 1 to 2 youth per
litter. 3 to 7 weeks old before bats are flying. Mate in
September to October, hibernate September to November, re-enter homes
to have their young in early April.

4 to 10 years, have been found up to 20 years old.

| Treatment: |
Sealing
off entry points. This should be done during hibernation
period. Entry points should be inspected during spring to early
summer. In some cases, sealing of entry points can be achieved
during spring and summer.

Risks: |
Bats can carry rabies. Droppings can cause respiratory illness called Histoplasmosis in humans and animals.
